Round 1 of Intern Bootcamp is almost halfway over! πͺπΌ
Our interns spend 2 months out of the year in Anesthesia Bootcamp to prepare them for the OR as they transition to CA1 year. Bootcamp consists of lectures, sim labs, ventilator education days, practice with IVs and arterial lines, as well as time in the OR one on one with a senior resident. By the end of their 2 months, our interns are running their own cases in the OR essentially functioning as CA1s
Half of our intern class completes bootcamp in Feb/March, and the other half in May/June. It’s always exciting to see so much growth in such a short time!
Congratulations to our CA-3s on their fellowship matches for the upcoming year! ππΌ
We are so proud of you all and excited to see what each of you accomplish in the next stage of your training, and extra excited we get to keep a few of you with us at UH for another year π€
