Transition to Practice — UH Anesthesiology

Welcome to PAT Clinic! Here we see patients scheduled for surgery in order to complete any pre-operative testing that may be required and to provide instructions leading up to surgery. This is a good rotation to solidify your understanding of how to best optimize and prepare patients for surgery, as well as gain perspective on effective inter-specialty communication. You will be responsible for following up with patients and surgical teams regarding testing, results, and any other planning to make sure nothing falls through the cracks leading up to surgery.
