Coronavirus Hotline
Introducing Your UH Coronavirus Hotline
A Message for UH Caregivers from Dan Simon, MD, Chief Clinical & Scientific Officer and President, UH Cleveland Medical Center
Clinicians and staff across our health system are engaged in the important work of care and preparedness as coronavirus COVID-19 continues to spread. As we care for our patients, we are also focused on the care of our clinicians and staff.
A UH Coronavirus Hotline, 216-767-8228, is a resource dedicated to answering your questions. A team of nurses and paramedics trained in multiple aspects of COVID-19 screening, care protocols and UH preparedness are standing by to assist you. Call the hotline whenever you have a patient who screens as at-risk for COVID-19.
This team also will compile and develop answers to nonclinical questions that you and your family members might have. An early compilation of FAQs is provided here.
The UH Coronavirus Hotline will serve as a centralized escalation point for situational response as issues arise. For any given clinical team across the system, the hotline stands ready to provide the most up-to-date information or connection to on-call experts.
You have several other UH resources available to support you:
The coronavirus page on the UH Digital Workplace is an archive of our coronavirus updates, care management guides and forms.
The coronavirus page on our consumer website provides information about coronavirus, links to CDC updates, tips to avoid catching and spreading the virus, and how best to access UH care.
Our experts at UH Roe Green Center for Travel Medicine & Global Health are able to inform your decisions about your personal international and domestic travel plans. Call the dedicated UH caregiver number, 216-844-3286, with your questions.
Know that we are taking extreme measures to protect the safety of our caregivers. These efforts include managing our supplies of personal protective equipment and providing training.
As the situation evolves, we will continue to share information with you. Be sure to watch your UH email for timely notifications and daily updates. Thank you for your support in caring for our patients and for each other as we rise to meet the health care needs of our patients and communities.
